Revenue Control
- Valet Parking Systems
-
Valet parking controls can increase revenues, reduce wait times, improve customer satisfaction and reduce manpower required for most commercial valet operations. The valet parking control system utilizes a multi-part ticket, each part encoded with the sequential ticket number in a barcode machine-readable format. The valet parking control software program provides accurate automated fee computation, audit control, key control, valet attendant time control and revenue reports by cashier, shift and operation. For upscale residential complexes with valet parking service, icsi offers a specialized Valet Parking Operation that is designed specifically for applications where the majority of users are frequent repeat customers, and offers specific reports designed to track these repeat clients' system usage.
The client will pull up to the entry lane adjacent to the valet attendant/cashier station. Once there, the cashier or a valet parking attendant will greet them. After determining that the parker is going to be a Valet Parking customer, the cashier/valet will obtain the appropriate (color-coded available) ticket from a stack of pre-printed barcode tickets. The cashier/valet will then "scan" the ticket into the system using the Entry Barcode Scanner. With each successful read of a ticket the scanner will provide the cashier/valet with an audible "beep" indicating the completion of the entry scan. This action will cause the ticket number to be registered "IN" to the system, and will start the fee computation clock ticking for that ticket number. In addition, the cashier/valet may then also imprint the ticket with the Entry Date/Time using a time-clock stamping machine or program the Fee Computer's printer to print this data in "man-readable" format on the (back of the) ticket. The ticket may also have special printing allowing the cashier/valet to record on the multi-part specific data regarding the transaction, such as license plate number, vehicle make and model, color, existing body damage, etc. A sample ticket containing this data is provided in the detailed system description.

- Self Parking Systems
-
Parking & Revenue Control Systems for self-parking applications ensure that parking space is efficiently utilized for maximum revenue potential. Typically there are two key groups of parking patrons, the Monthly Parkers (Cardholders) and the Short Term Cash Parkers (Visitors/Transients).
Normally "Cardholders" are issued a proximity card, or the RFID or an RF Clicker. All of these technologies offer extremely user-friendly operation, and can significantly speed up traffic flow substantially.
Short term cash parkers (Visitors/Transients) take a ticket at entry and pay by the hour. The ticket is issued by an automated ticket issuing machine that prints the date and time in a man-readable and barcode machine-readable formats. This ticket is read by the barcode scanner connected to the cashier fee-computer, which computes the fee and accepts the payment in cash, credit card or merchant validation coupons.

- Ticket Dispensers
-
One of the most critical components in any successful revenue controlled self-parking environment is a rugged, reliable, and fast Ticket Dispenser. The client will pull into the entry lane adjacent to the ticket dispenser. Once there, they will push a button and a ticket is be produced. The ticket is printed with the entry time, day, date, and lane location number. The barcode printer in the ticket machine also encodes the ticket with this same information in a barcode format. The ticket is then dispensed to a position convenient to the parking patron for removal from the machine. This entire process, from the time the patron pushes the button to request a ticket until the ticket is dispensed from the ticket issuing machine is 1.5 seconds!
Immediately upon the parking client removing the ticket from the dispenser the lift-arm barrier gate will open, and the vehicle may then proceed into the parking facility. If the client is not sure of the procedure or has any questions, they can contact the parking staff member in the Cashier's Booth using an optional (recommended) remote intercom station. Each ticket dispenser has a backlit LCD display that shows the current date and time, and is also capable of showing a generic message.

- Fee Computers
-
The heart and soul of any parking revenue control system has to be the "Fee Computer". As the name implies, this is a highly specialized type of computer based point of sale machine designed specifically to convert all different values of elapsed time spent within a parking facility to an amount of money based upon specific programmed user parameters. These parameters can include day of the week of entry, day of week of exit, number of time segments elapsed since entry, location client visited while at the facility, etc.
Current parking control applications demand rugged, well built system components designed for years of reliable, trouble free operation. This is true regardless of climate, or number of duty cycles per day. Your parking applications need and deserve products that are engineered for a high degree of reliability, and require the flexibility to fit perfectly in a wide variety of system applications.
The icsi family of fee computers have been designed and engineered for all this and much more! They run flawlessly in virtually every type of system application, and offer years of trouble-free operation, helping you to keep your business profitable and running smooth. With virtually maintenance free upkeep, your parking facility is assured of maximum efficiency in complete safety.
